Basics¶
The Business Bot Platform was created to manage chatbots centrally rather than administrate many standalone solutions. The platform relies on modern technologies for communications and interaction with mobile users. The introduction of this technology assumes the explanation of terms and definition.
While the Bot ensures the message delivery to various instant messengers, the Business Bot has the task to lead a smart communication with mobile users as well as making use of required information from different sources (e.g., CRM, ERP, IoT). The following graphic illustrates the subareas.
Bot¶
The bot is a robot (Ro-bot-er), which fulfills a specific task. In our terminology, the bot is a wrapper without intelligence for real user interaction. The bot ensures the message delivery to the various instant messengers. A bot instance is referred to a copy of a bot (commonly known as object template).
Business Bot¶
The Business Bot includes the intelligence for real user interaction and leads monologues or dialogue with mobile users as well as communicate with the business system. The Business Bot is not responsible for messaging, but receives the message from the bot instance and can formulate and return a corresponding response. The returned response is then sent by the bot instance to the mobile user.
Marketplace¶
The marketplace consists of a variety of business bots for different applications. For instance, there are business bots for communication and interaction with different business system and monitoring solutions.
