Platform Notifications¶

Notifications (also called push messages or web push) are used by the Business Bot Platform to notify you about new messages or updated content. When your browser is open, the Business Bot Platform, to which you have given permissions, can send messages to your browser, which then displays them. Your browser can also display notifications from the Business Bot Platform when it is not loaded. The browser receives the messages and can display them (with the user’s permission) on the desktop at any time. Business Bot Platform can also update push notifications in the background without displaying a notification. You can change this setting at any time.

Enable notifications¶

Use the following steps to grant permission to the Business Bot Platform:

1. Click on the navigation bar on Settings → System Settings → Web Push
2. Click on Enable notifications
3. The browser now asks you if you want to allow notifications from the platform. Click Yes.
4. Choose the desired notification options at Notification Types.
5. Click on Save to apply the changes.

Disable notifications¶

Use the following steps to revoke the permission for the Business Bot Platform:

for Firefox

1. Click the menu button Application Menu and select Settings.
2. Click Privacy & Security from the left pane.
3. Scroll to the Permissions section and click on Settings… button next to Notifications.
4. Select the website of the Business Bot Platform.
5. Click the Remove Website button.

for Chrome

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More → Settings.
3. Under Privacy and security click Site settings.
4. Click Notifications.
5. Select the website of the Business Bot Platform.
6. Click on 3-dot menu, than on button Remove

Notification types¶

The Business Bot Platform offers you the following notification types:

• Registration of a new user
• Messenger-Channel is Offline
• Business Logic is Offline
